Vievee Francis on challenging preconceptions with her poetry

Poet Vievee Francis discusses how she and her writing are viewed through the ‘filter’ of people’s preconceptions, which are often based on her appearance, and how she actively works to challenge and remove that filter with her poetry. (Recorded at the Callaloo Conference, Oxford, November 2016)
